Struggling

To Living.

YOU CAN TOO.

Hi, I'm Himel!

Through therapy, I inspire people to create a rich, full, and meaningful life.

So, why you might care?

You might care because I focus on helping people find more calm and peace.

My clinical work includes helping people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, past trauma and a wide range of emotional issues.

I can help you reduce the impact of painful thoughts and feelings, and, together, we can work towards a healthier you.

I have worked with youth, adults, families, and couples.

I grew up in a cross-cultural environment and am culturally sensitive in my counselling approach.

My Promise To You:

I Will Meet You Where You Want To Start Your Journey.

WITH COMPASSION.

With Integrative Evidence-Based Psychotherapy.

In A Safe Place.

SO YOU CAN EXPLORE, LEARN, AND GROW.

My approach to therapy is trauma informed, client-centered and involves creating a safe and a non-judgmental space, and, collaboratively, coming up with a plan that suits you.

I often use therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Brainspotting Therapy and even good old Psychodynamic.

I have been practicing mindfulness for last 10 years and have the knowledge and experience to use Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) with my patients.

I also have a clinical supervisor, who is a Registered Psychotherapist with many years of clinical experience. I often consult with my supervisor to make sure my patients and I are on the right track.
